According to an exclusive report by the American Axios news website on September 30th, a U.S. official and another source with knowledge revealed that after the stalled U.S.-Iran negotiations, U.S. Secretary of State Rubio ordered the Iranian delegation attending the United Nations General Assembly to 'immediately leave the United States' on September 28th.
The report indicates that although the Iranian delegation was likely to depart soon, Rubio’s actions were “extremely rare” in terms of diplomacy. This also reveals the deep-seated mistrust between the United States and Iran, especially at a time when efforts to mediate ending the war have not yielded any results.
U.S. President Trump stated on the 28th that the U.S. and Iran had conducted indirect communication through a mediator on that day.
Axios reported that on the morning of the 28th, the White House initially believed that negotiations with Iran might progress later in the day. However, by the afternoon, the talks had clearly reached a deadlock.
"Ruo Bi'ao, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has already been waiting for the Iranian delegation to leave for a long time. The United Nations General Assembly has ended and they should also leave." A US official said.

According to the above-mentioned U.S. official, on the evening of the 28th, after orders from Rubio, the U.S. Permanent Mission to the United Nations notified the Iranian Permanent Mission that the delegation led by Iran’s Foreign Minister Al-Aghaee must leave New York immediately.
Several hours later, the Iranian delegation, including Alaghi, went to the airport and took a flight from New York to Doha at 1:20 am local time on the 29th.
Another source confirmed that the US did indeed request the Iranian delegation to leave, but stated that Aragatz had originally planned to depart for Tehran on the evening of the 28th.
Qatar is trying to facilitate a diplomatic breakthrough between the United States and Iran, but progress is limited, and neither the US nor Iran is willing to make concessions.
On September 22, U.S. Special Counsel Whitlock and Trump's son-in-law Kushner held an indirect meeting with Iran's Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Ghaemieh during the United Nations General Assembly in New York, through mediation by Qatar.
According to American media reports, Iran has proposed that if the United States lifts the maritime blockade, removes sanctions on oil sales, and restores peace in the region, Iran would reopen the Strait of Hormuz within seven days and resume nuclear negotiations. However, Trump rejected Iran’s proposal and revealed to his advisors that he might resume bombing Iran after the mid-term elections in November.
On September 30th local time, a journalist asked Trump how the United States could reach an agreement with a regime he called 'crazy'.
Trump responded, "Maybe I'll blow them up. We must make a decision. Either blow them up or reach an agreement. But time is running out. In either case, this matter will be over soon."
