National Vice President Han Zheng met with India's National Security Advisor and the Indian special representative for border issues between China and India, Doval, in Beijing on the 25th.
Han Zheng said that over the past two years, President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi have met twice in Kazan and Tianjin, reaching a series of important agreements on the development of China-India relations, which has led to the recovery and improvement of bilateral relations. As neighboring developing nations and important emerging economies, China and India should view and handle their relations from a strategic and long-term perspective. They should jointly implement the important agreements reached by their leaders, enhance strategic mutual trust, explore cooperation potential, strengthen multilateral collaboration, properly manage differences, and promote the sustainable and stable development of China-India relations.
Dovwal said that Prime Minister Modi attaches great importance to relations with China and admires the remarkable development achievements of China. As the two largest economies with the largest populations and the fastest development, India-China cooperation faces historic opportunities. India is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China, resolve border issues appropriately, and promote new progress in bilateral relations.
