On July 8th, local time, during the NATO summit in Ankara, there was a dramatic exchange of words between U.S. President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy.
The footage shows that during the meeting, Trump mentioned that Russian President Putin had told him that if he wanted to meet with Zelensky, the ideal location would be Moscow. However, Trump said he didn't think this was a viable option.
I don't know if he will go (Zelensky), maybe he will go…" Trump suddenly asked Zelensky: "Will you go to Moscow?"
Zelenskyy smiled and replied, "It's difficult because there are many Ukrainian drones there. It's very dangerous." This statement caused laughter at the scene.
Afterwards, Zelensky stated that he believed Trump would do everything in his power to end this conflict.

Zelenskyy's response comes at a time when the drone warfare between Russia and Ukraine is intensifying.
Recently, Ukraine has continued to expand its drone attacks on deep-rooted targets in Russia. Moscow and surrounding areas have reported multiple drone attacks. Around the time of the summit, the Ukrainian side continued to carry out drone operations against Russian energy and military targets, while Russia claimed to have intercepted a large number of incoming drones.
In response to the Ukrainian actions, Russia reacted on the 8th. Russian President's press secretary Peskov stated during a press conference that Ukraine's continued behavior of being "aggressive" towards key international energy system facilities and its tendency to launch "terrorist attacks" is "very dangerous".
He said that Russia is taking all possible measures to minimize the risks posed by the attack, and expects Turkey and other countries to use their influence to warn the Ukrainian side not to take such actions.
Russian Defense Ministry reported on social media on the 8th that Russian forces carried out massive strikes against targets including Ukrainian military logistics centers, fuel and energy transportation infrastructure, ammunition depots, and temporary deployment locations for Ukrainian and foreign mercenaries in 157 areas, including the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, early in the morning of that day.
