According to the Thai newspaper Bangkok Post, on the afternoon of June 2nd, a motorcycle rider was struck by lightning while riding on an elevated bridge in Bangkok, resulting in severe injuries.
According to official verification, the injured person was a 46-year-old male delivery rider. It was raining heavily at the time of the incident. He was riding on the bridge when a lightning strike hit him, causing the motorcycle to lose control and roll over.

After the rescue workers arrived at the scene, they found that the rider was lying on his back and unconscious. According to local media reports, there was a long burn mark on the left side of the victims neck, extending all the way to his chest.
Initial investigations indicate that lightning struck the helmet, causing burns. The riders amulet necklace also broke due to the lightning strike.
The injured persons were subsequently rushed to the hospital for treatment.
