According to the British ‘Daily Mail’, a former British Prime Minister who once supported Trump, Boris Johnson, in an interview with this media outlet, harshly criticized the US-Russia ‘diesel trade’.
Johnson claimed that the Royal Navy should intercept any ships transporting Russian diesel fuel through the English Channel.
Johnson said, “I suspect that Putin does not have enough diesel to be sent to the United States. But if he tries to transport it through the English Channel, I hope the Royal Navy will be able to intercept it.”
Since the United States and Israel launched military attacks against Iran, gasoline prices in the United States have risen. As the U.S. midterm elections approach, Trump has recently blamed the rising gasoline prices on Ukraine.
Johnson also posted on the X platform that "It's disgusting that the United States is now lifting sanctions on Russian fuel. Attributing the soaring oil prices to Ukraine is even more absurd, as it’s clear that oil prices started to rise after the closure of the Hormuz Strait."
According to reports, Johnson has long supported Ukraine. After Russia launched a special military operation, he was the first Western leader to visit Kiev.
