On June 11 local time, U.S. President Trump once again claimed that an agreement with Iran could be signed soon, but Iran stated that “nothing has been finalized yet”.
According to CNN, Trump announced publicly that the United States and Iran had ‘ended the war’, and both parties reached a ‘very strong memorandum of understanding’ regarding the cease-fire agreement.
Trump made these remarks after canceling further sanctions against Iran. He implied that an agreement had been reached between the two sides, but did not disclose the details of the agreement. According to him, he had conversations by phone with several leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, regarding the situation in Iran and the Middle East.
According to reports, Trump stated that the signing ceremony is expected to be finalized and held within the next few days. U.S. Vice President Wilson will travel to Europe to participate in the signing of the agreement.
He claimed that it was American military actions that led Iran to agree on a deal. At the same time, Trump stated that the United States’ blockade of Iranian ports will “continue until this deal is finalized.”
Trump also hinted that Iran’s supreme leader supported the agreement, and has “in principle” agreed to allow the US to control nuclear materials, as well as to give up the pursuit of nuclear weapons.
A knowledgeable diplomat told CNN that the temporary agreement between Iran and Mexico will be named the “Islamabad Agreement”. Both parties have reached an agreement on the text of the memorandum of understanding, but have not yet finalized the signing.
According to reports, this memorandum of understanding will extend the ceasefire by 60 days, covering Lebanon. Negotiations on nuclear issues will take place during the ceasefire period. The Strait of Hormuz will be reopened immediately, and Iran will not be charged for passage fees. Free flow of energy and goods will be ensured. Thirty days after signing, the capacity of the strait will be restored to pre-war levels. Sanctions will be phased out according to the progress of the agreement.
Additionally, the memo includes a framework for addressing Iran's uranium enrichment inventory issues. However, any actions regarding Iran's nuclear program will depend on another more detailed agreement.

This diplomat did not mention whether the agreement included the billions of dollars in frozen funds for Iran, only stating that the Strait of Hormuz status question and Iran's nuclear program were among the issues discussed in the final stages of negotiations.
Another diplomat revealed to CNN that the signing location is most likely in Geneva, Switzerland.
Although Trump constantly released positive signals, neither Iran nor Israel confirmed this.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmael Baghi said reports regarding an agreement with the United States "are purely conjecture" and that the Iranian government has not made any final decision on any agreement. He added that the US actions are disrupting the diplomatic process.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran questioned Trump's statements, stating that Iran has not confirmed the existence of any such agreements. The Tasnim News Agency, a subsidiary of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, also said that Trump's claims should not be taken seriously unless Iran officially announces an agreement.
Iranian parliament national security and foreign policy commission spokesperson Rezaei warned that Trump's announcement of this "great agreement" to end the war was likely a deception, and urged Iran to continue its counteroffensive. The likelihood of Trump’s deceit is high.
According to Israeli sources, Trump's sudden announcement that the US and Iran had reached an agreement surprised Netanyahu. The source said that Israel was completely unaware of the impending agreement between the US and Iran.
