In the first video released before his election, Vucic played the role of a waiter who carefully recorded the citizens' wishes. What people chose from the menu was not food, but their respective visions for the future of Serbia.
According to Serbian "Evening News," the video shows a lively atmosphere at the dining table, reflecting the different priorities of different generations.
Vukcevic posted a short video on social media, in which he played the role of a waiter.
The conversation was initiated by the head of the household, who decisively said “highway”.
When asked what he wanted, Grandpa was clear in his stance: “Don’t impose sanctions on Russia, and keep Kosovo and Metohia.”
Grandma asked him, "Was the order too much?" The son reassured her that everyone could choose for themselves. Then, in a practical manner, Grandma also added her own choices—higher wages and pensions.
Then, someone also suggested building a new maternity hospital.
The youngest person at the table, with a rebellious tone, when asked what he wanted to have, simply replied: “Then let Vukčić step down.” But his father immediately took over the conversation skillfully, “suggesting” free education for him.
The young girl hopes to join the EU and NATO. At this point, the scene switches to a waiter named Vucić, holding a notepad and a pencil.

On the evening of September 27 local time, Serbian President Vucic announced his resignation from the presidency.
Vukic was elected as the president of Serbia for the first time in 2017 and was re-elected successfully in 2022. He will not finish his second term as president until next year, and Serbian constitution does not allow a president to serve a third term.
Vukcevic's early resignation does not mean he is stepping down from politics. According to Reuters, Vukcevic's departure from his presidential role also clears the way for him to take on the position of prime minister.
If the Serbian Progressive Party led by him succeeds in forming a government after the parliamentary elections on October 25th, he is expected to become the prime minister. Mr. Vučić himself has also stated that he wishes to participate in this election as an “ordinary citizen”.
Currently, Vucic has been nominated by the Serbian Progressive Party as the leader of the parliamentary election list and as the candidate for prime minister. Rasa Nedeljkov from the Serbian polling agency CRTA said that after nearly two years of anti-government protests, this election will serve as a test of Vucic’s support among the electorate.
