According to the British newspaper The Independent, on September 29 local time, U.S. President Donald Trump called a meeting of American tech giants at the White House and signed an agreement called 'Super Intelligence (SI)'. However, the signature on the agreement mistakenly included the word 'United States', which led to widespread ridicule online.
On that day, the agreement, which Trump claimed to have a ‘moral binding force’, was signed by Trump and the heads of various technology giants. This agreement aimed to regulate the development of artificial intelligence. Through an executive order, Trump also renamed artificial intelligence as ‘super intelligence’.
Trump said, "To some extent, it's almost like a constitution. The world's most influential figures all signed it, and I also signed as the president. This is indeed a means of protection."
But ironically, under the name signed by Trump with a marker pen, there was a spelling error. In the place where Trump had written “President of the United States Donald J. Trump,” the word “United States” was mistakenly spelled as “Unites States”.

The signatories of this document also include NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI President Greg Brockman, Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, and xAI CEO Elon Musk.
On social media, netizens quickly seized upon this mistake and started teasing about it.
Former Republican Congressman Justin Amash posted a message on the X website, simply writing down the spelling mistake without any comments. Political commentator Bryan Clasden added below: “The point of humor is self-evident.”
Many commentators pointed out that this agreement, which is intended to regulate artificial intelligence, contains spelling errors, which is quite ironic.
A netizen wrote on the X platform: "A document about 'super intelligence', where even the name of the country is spelled wrong? That's really an impressive achievement."

The American magazine New Republic commented that there is a growing opposition among Americans to companies abusing AI and the chaotic expansion of data centers. Attempting to reword the concept of AI has turned Trump and the entire United States into jokes. Moreover, mistaking the word "United States" further exacerbated external ridicule. One can’t help but wonder if this document was written by an assistant or staff member at the White House using AI.
