tJiang Bin said that President Xi recently attended the 26th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and delivered an important speech. He stated that China is willing to work with all parties to implement a common, comprehensive, cooperative, and sustainable approach to security, aiming to make the Shanghai Cooperation Organization an important platform for implementing global security initiatives. Security is the foundation of development, and peace is the source of prosperity. The member states of the SCO attach great importance to defense and security cooperation. They have organized several meetings of defense ministers and military chiefs, held joint counter-terrorism exercises under the name "Peace Mission," military music festivals like the "Peace Horn Festival," and conducted professional exchanges in areas such as military medicine, military transportation, and military translation. They also organize training programs for senior officers, exchanges for young and middle-aged officers, and activities like the "SCO+ Youth Think Tank Salon."
