On September 1st, local time, the U.S. Central Command posted a statement on social media, stating that at 12:00 noon Eastern Time on the same day, the U.S. military began attacking targets of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard in Iran.
According to the Palestinian Chronicle, there have been reports of explosions in Iranian ports such as Bandar Abbas, Ghasim Island, Chabahar, Konarak, and Jask.
According to Reuters, the Iranian Red Crescent reported that the attack affected a wedding near Sirik on the coast of the Hormuz Strait. At least 4 people were killed and 50 were injured. The Makhher news agency stated that one of the victims was a 4-year-old child. The United States has not immediately responded to the reports.
According to CCTV reports, after the attack, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard announced that hours prior, the United States had bombed several locations along the southern coast of Iran, including several civilian areas. The attack has strengthened the determination of the Iranian military to suppress foreign forces interfering in the Strait of Hormuz. The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard has already begun countering the invaders, using new types of anti-aircraft systems to shoot down American MQ-9 drones over Hamoen. Hamoen is located in Central Province of Iran, about 70 kilometers from the important city of Ahvaz.
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps spokesman Mokheibi said that the invaders will surely face severe punishment, and the United States will have to pay for its new attacks.
The General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces issued a statement saying that in response to the US air strikes on Iranian targets, the Iranian Armed Forces will deliver a “devastating blow” to the United States. Iran will make America pay a heavy price.
