According to Tim Hawkins, a spokesperson for the U.S. Central Command, the U.S. military destroyed two Iranian rocket launch devices on the island of Larak. An American official stated that after observation, the U.S. military concluded that the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps planned to use these devices to deploy mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran's Fars News Agency reported that an explosion was heard near Larak Island on the evening of the 30th. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran subsequently issued a statement confirming that Larak Island had been attacked by air force, resulting in casualties among soldiers and civilians. The statement emphasized that Iran would respond to this attack, and that the aggressors would surely be punished.
Revolutionary Guard spokesman Hossein Mokhebi said that the U.S. government committed a "strategic and fatal mistake" during the economic war, and this mistake will change the situation, with the United States having to pay a heavy price.
