According to the British-based 'Iran International Television', a member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Committee of the Iranian Islamic Parliament stated on the 23rd local time that the United States will abandon its blockade against Iran within several months.
Ahmed Bahshayesh Aldestani said, “The United States cannot maintain a blockade for a long time. After a few months, when they realize that the blockade is ineffective, they will abandon it.”
Furthermore, he indicated that the possibility of Iran's economic collapse is relatively low, but admitted that U.S. sanctions may lead to Iranian economic losses.
He also argued that Iran should wait until after the war has ended before dealing with corruption issues. "A certain degree of corruption is normal. We must be patient and wait until after the war has ended before addressing corruption issues."
