Virginia State Shooting Incident: Multiple Injuries Reported

According to The New York Post, a large-scale shooting incident occurred at Virginia State University in the early hours of August 15th local time, resulting in several injuries. The campus was immediately sealed off.

According to the Chesterfield County Police Department, around 1:30 a.m., a gunshot was heard near the building adjacent to Four Square in the Chesterfield County campus. It is believed that several shooters were involved in the incident.

Reports say that several people were shot, but the injured persons are not in life-threatening condition.

The school issued a statement on Facebook saying: "People within the campus should continue to stay away from the incident area and strictly follow all instructions from law enforcement authorities."

Virginia State University and the Chesterfield County police are conducting a joint investigation. No one has been arrested yet, and more details about the shooting incident have not been released to the public.

On the evening of the 14th, the school just welcomed 1,500 new students, and it is scheduled that classes will resume normally on Monday.
