According to a report by Reuters on August 10, the ‘Freedom 250 Grand Prix’ will take place in Washington in late August. This will be the first time that the NTT IndyCar Series race is held in Washington. The Federal Aviation Administration announced that in order to accommodate this event, some flights at Reagan National Airport in Washington will be suspended on August 23, local time.
In January this year, Trump signed an executive order to organize a Hind Racing race on the streets of Washington to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. The street race will take place on August 22-23 at a temporary track in Washington’s National Mall, local time. Spectators can watch the race for free, but they can also join the “Champion Club” by paying a fee.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration announced on August 10 that flights at Reagan National Airport in Washington would be suspended from 10:15 am to 1:15 pm local time on August 23, in support of this competition. The FAA stated that the duration of the suspension could vary depending on changes, and passengers planning to take flights during this period should check the flight status in advance.
Reuters reported that in recent months, Trump's celebrations have caused Washington airspace to be closed several times. On June 14, the Reagan National Airport in Washington was also closed to accommodate an American Army parade on the day of Trump's birthday.
