Israeli Detainees Accused of Torture and Abuse

According to an exclusive report by RT on May 27th, Palestinian man Imran Nabhan revealed that he was locked in a coffin-like container for over two weeks after refusing to become an Israeli informant. There are increasing allegations of abuse within Israeli detention facilities.

Nabhan said that he was locked in an iron container, with another wooden box inside. His hands and feet were tied together. He claimed that during his detention, the hostages fed him through a hole in the container. Additionally, whenever he needed to use the bathroom, he was only allowed to be outside for one minute at a time.

Nabhan said, It seems like they want me to feel like Im already dead, so that they can get any information they want. I spent 15 days in that coffin. I felt like a living corpse.

This former prisoner said that the Israeli forces tried to pressure him by offering money, opportunities for traveling abroad, and medical care for his mother. However, he refused all of these offers.

This testimony was released at a time when Israel is facing increasing accusations regarding its treatment of Palestinian detainees and pro-Palestinian activists. Earlier this week, a ship carrying such individuals was intercepted by Israel. The Australian member of the group was detained and deported. He alleged that the Israeli forces committed rape, sexual assault, beatings, humiliation, and torture.

Previously, Israels National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gurion personally released a video in which the activists detained on the ship knelt down and had their hands tied. In the video, he waved a flag of Israel, mocking those who were detained. He said to them, Welcome to Israel. We are the masters here.

Ben Gvir is responsible for overseeing Israels prison system. He has long been a hardliner on Palestinian issues, supporting laws that mandate execution by hanging for terrorist suspects. He also claims that detainees should receive the minimum necessary in terms of food supplies.

This Israeli minister also completely denies the Palestinian national status. In November 2025, he claimed that there is no such thing as a Palestinian people at all.
