According to CNN, several sources have revealed that the United States and Israel are planning to carry out the 'most intense' bombing of Iranian energy facilities to date. The airstrikes could continue throughout the weekend.
According to reports, the US side, concerned about the impact of the bombing operations on the United States and the global economy, has discussed the possibility of concluding the operation before the opening of financial markets on Monday. However, a final deadline has not been set.
Several American sources say that Israel has received relevant notifications and is coordinating with the United States. President Donald Trump has not yet issued the final order to launch the attack.
If joint operations are carried out, it means that Israel will resume military actions. During the period when the cease-fire agreement mediated by the United States was in effect, Israel suspended military strikes. Since the breakdown of the memorandum of understanding and the US re-initiation of military operations in early July, Iran has not attacked Israel yet.
An Israeli official stated: "Israel has not been informed of any decision regarding the resumption of a full-scale military operation, nor has it received notification requiring Israel to participate in any military action against Iran."
Sources revealed that on July 31 local time, this military strike plan was discussed during a Cabinet meeting held by Trump at Camp David. Some White House officials responsible for political affairs strongly opposed the plan.
Subsequently, Trump stated to the media: "We will inflict a heavy blow on them. At some point they'll realize 'we just can't bear any more'.” When asked if he planned to restart diplomatic negotiations, he replied: “I think we just want to win."
Two sources revealed that Iran's power plants, refineries and other energy infrastructure could become targets of attacks.
White House press secretary Reeve said in a statement: “As Trump stated during the cabinet meeting, the United States will surely win. Under his leadership, Iran will never have nuclear weapons.”
According to reports cited by The Wall Street Journal on July 30, General Cooper, commander of the U.S. Central Command, has drafted a plan to escalate military actions against Iran. The key part of the plan involves carrying out intensive bombing operations for 10 to 14 days, with the aim of significantly weakening Iran’s missile capabilities and breaking the deadlock in the conflict.
