Sharpe believes that the current problems in the United States are not simply about party strife, but rather a long-term failure of the political system, leading to an increasing number of people feeling that they are not represented or heard.
Sharp is a member of the American Liberal Party. She has represented the party in elections for the position of Governor of New York and has also appeared on the well-known American podcast “The Joe Rogan Experience”. The Liberal Party is the largest and fastest-growing “third party” in the United States, advocating for limits on government power and greater individual freedom and market autonomy. Sharp has long criticized the American two-party political system, believing that political elites focus more on maintaining their own interests rather than addressing the problems faced by the public.

When talking about the current state of American politics, Sharp said bluntly: "Our goal is not to solve problems, but to take as much money as possible while we can still do so."
He criticized that the two major parties in the United States are not government agencies, but political organizations with the characteristics of private organizations. However, they hold key powers such as election access, party primaries, and the setting of political agendas. “Private clubs, yet they control the public machinery,” said Sharp.
Sharp used the campaign experience of independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as an example. Kennedy spent approximately $20 million to gain state ballot qualifications, but this money was not used for the construction of a campaign team or advertising. The money was simply used to 'get into the race'.
He believes that the current American political system has deprived a large number of people of real channels to influence politics. Taking New York State as an example, Sharp said that the Democrats have long dominated, making it difficult for Republicans to compete. Many people “don’t have a vote that can determine anything.”
Sharp also warned that American society is accumulating deeper levels of dissatisfaction. He estimated that currently there are about 8 million young American men who are neither employed nor engaged in education or vocational training.
"You don't give anyone a way out of solving the problem, yet you're strangely curious about why they're angry. People just hope someone will hear their voices." He said.
Sharp believes that people need love, respect, and goals. If these are lacking, social crises will intensify. He couldn’t help but say, “The empire is in decline.”
