According to reports from the Russian Sputnik and TASS, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Security Council Medvedev stated on July 28 that Russia's armed forces' requirements in terms of personnel have been met, and there is no need for military mobilization.
Medvedev presided over a cross-departmental committee meeting regarding the recruitment of Russian conscripts on that day.
Medvedev revealed that about 200,000 people signed military service contracts in the first half of this year. In addition, more than 16,000 Russian citizens joined volunteer units and went to special military operation areas.
"It is imperative to emphasize that there is no need for mobilization in this regard. These are all fabricated lies by the enemy, who themselves lack manpower and cannot find people to go to war." - Medvedev.
He accused Ukraine of spreading rumors and engaging in provocation, attempting to undermine internal stability in Russia before the elections of the State Duma in September this year.
Medvedev stated that the Russian armed forces have fully met their personnel needs in the first half of this year.
