On July 25 local time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced on social media that Ukraine had launched another long-range attack against Russia. The targets included ships involved in the transport of military goods to Iran in the Caspian Sea region.
Zelenskyy stated that last night, the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes on targets in several regions of Russia. Among them, a weapons factory located in Kirov was hit again; the factory is about 1200 kilometers away from the Ukrainian border. In addition, a refinery in Tyumen, a logistics facility in Yekaterinburg, and a fuel and lubricant warehouse in Rostov-on-Don were also targeted.
He added, “We have achieved significant results in our remote strikes in the Caspian region—including vessels involved in military cargo deliveries to Iran, as well as one military ship.”
Zelenskyy previously stated that in the early hours of the day, Russian troops carried out large-scale air strikes against several areas in Ukraine, using 2 missiles and nearly 160 drones to carry out the attacks. The attacks have resulted in at least 6 deaths and 10 injuries, with multiple civilian buildings and facilities damaged. The Russian side has not responded to this yet.
