Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson warning Bulgaria on Tuesday not to allow the United States to launch military action against Iran using its territory.
The Bulgarian government has stated that it will seek parliamentary approval to allow up to 8 American air refueling aircraft to be stationed at a military base in the country. Bulgaria is a member of NATO and the European Union.
According to Iranian national media reports, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaee stated that any actions that assist the United States in launching attacks against Iran would constitute complicity in what he referred to as "aggression and war crimes."
Baggage Dun urged Bulgaria not to become "an accomplice of aggressors and lawbreakers".
These air refueling aircraft are mainly used to provide air refueling for other aircraft during flight. The Bulgarian government plans to deploy these American aircraft at the Bezmer military base. The base is located approximately 260 kilometers (160 miles) southeast of the capital Sofia.
Since the temporary ceasefire agreement was broken a month ago, the attacks launched by the United States and Iran have continued to intensify, leading to a renewed state of tension. This has increased the likelihood of another full-scale war between the two sides.
