NATO Chief Demands Strong US Response to Irans Ceasefire Violations

According to British Reuters, on July 8 local time, NATO Secretary-General Mark Loote stated that it is 'absolutely necessary' for the United States to take a strong military response to Iran, given Iran's continued violations of the ceasefire agreement.

Before the NATO summit in Ankara, the Turkish capital, Lute told reporters, "There is already a ceasefire agreement between the two sides. However, Iran has blatantly violated this ceasefire agreement. I believe that the United States must respond forcefully—this is absolutely necessary."

On the 7th local time, the US military launched a new round of air strikes against Iran and revoked a license that allowed Iran to sell oil. Previously, three tankers were attacked by artillery in the Strait of Hormuz, further pressuring the already fragile ceasefire situation.

On the 8th, Iran's Islamic Council President Karim Bahaf posted a statement on social media, strongly condemning the United States for 'seriously violating' the Iran-US Memorandum of Understanding.

Kallibow wrote that the United States has committed five violations of the Iran-Mexico Understanding: destroying Iran's arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz; continuing to threaten further attacks against Iran; reinstating oil sanctions; launching attacks against southern Iran; and Israel's continuous aggression against Lebanon. "The era of bullying and extortion has ended. This path is untenable. We will not yield."
