On July 22, Trump made a threat on social media, stating that if Iran carried out an attack, the United States would retaliate by targeting civilian infrastructure.
Trump wrote on social media: "From now on, if the Islamic Republic of Iran fires at any vessel in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it uses missiles, rockets, drones, or any other devices or weapons, the United States will bomb and destroy a bridge or a power plant."
The U.S. air strikes against Iran have entered their eleventh night. Meanwhile, there seems to be little progress in diplomatic efforts on the public front. During the attacks, the air defense system in Iran’s capital Tehran fired to intercept the attacks. Additionally, Iran launched missile attacks against a city in Jordan, which is neighboring Israel. Bahrain and Saudi Arabia also issued warnings of air strikes.
