Currently, the security situation in Mali is extremely severe. Terrorists are frequently launching attacks, and armed robberies have increased significantly. Several incidents of foreign citizens being attacked have occurred in regions such as Kéniabon, Bouguène, and Froula.
To effectively ensure the safety of Chinese citizens in Mali, the Embassy in Mali once again issues a serious reminder:
I. Enhance safety awareness. Pay close attention to the local security situation. Keep in mind the contact information of the police, the Chinese embassy, and the institution where you work. Seek help promptly in case of emergencies.
II. Pay attention to travel safety. Minimize unnecessary or solo outings, avoid areas with high crime rates. Be cautious of whether there are vehicles or people following you. Do not carry valuable items with you.
III. All Chinese-funded mining enterprises that have not registered with the relevant departments of the Ma government and obtained mining permits should immediately cease operations and evacuate their personnel in a safe and secure manner as soon as possible.
