According to Middle Eastern media ETEMAD Online, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced on July 19 that two vessels that violated regulations attempted to pass through unsafe routes in the Hormuz Strait, resulting in an accident and the ships being grounded.
The Iranian side stated that four vessels that violated regulations, instigated and supported by "terrorists" in the United States, turned off their navigation systems. They ignored the warnings from the Iranian Navy’s base in the Strait of Hormuz and attempted to create chaos by using unsafe routes to pass through the Strait of Hormuz. Two of the vessels encountered an accident and stayed stationary, while the other two abandoned attempts to continue their journey.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Navy emphasized that full control of the Hormuz Strait lies with their forces, and the only safe route for passage is the designated and announced route. "Without coordination and permission, not a single drop of oil, natural gas, or fertilizer will pass through the Hormuz Strait."
