Israeli Soldiers Allegedly Force Boy to Hold Gun, Raise Arms During Arrest

According to an article in the Israeli Times dated May 31st, a video shows a group of Israeli soldiers allegedly forcing a Palestinian boy to hold up a Palestinian flag and standing next to a gun. The report states that this clearly serves as a pretext for arresting the boy.

It is reported that this incident occurred in the Palestinian village of Beit Ummar. The exact date is unknown.

In the video, at least three Israeli soldiers were seen. One of them used a mobile phone to capture footage of the boy holding a flag in his hands, with a submachine gun in front of him. Subsequently, the boy raised his arms towards the wall, clearly being searched. The Israeli soldiers talked to each other during this process.

An military official stated that the boy was detained and later released.

The Israel Defense Forces stated that they are currently investigating the matter, and disciplinary actions will be taken based on the results of the investigation. The behavior shown in the video does not conform to the values of the Israel Defense Forces and the standards of conduct that their soldiers should follow.
