According to Iranian official news agency IRNA on July 10th, a shooting incident occurred in Mashhad, a holy city in northeastern Iran, on the evening of the 9th local time, resulting in the death of two people.
Reports say that the shooting occurred only 17 kilometers from the mausoleum of Iran’s late supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Hamenei's funeral ceremony took place in Mashhad early in the morning of the day.
Local officials said that the shooting occurred around 10 p.m. on the 9th, in the Sarafranzian community.
Shamagdari said that the cause of the shooting and the identity of the deceased have not yet been determined.

The funeral ceremony for Khamenei was held in Tehran on July 3, with people from all walks of life in Iran, religious leaders, and officials from various countries attending.
According to the official plan, the funeral ceremony for Khamenei and his family will be held in Qamush on July 7. At the request of people from all walks of life in Iraq, funeral ceremonies will also be held in Najaf, a Shia holy city in Iraq, and Karbala on July 8. The burial ceremony will take place in Mashhad, a holy city in northeastern Iran, on July 9.
