According to a report by Nanyang NetBiz on July 9th, during the NATO summit held in Turkey, U.S. President Trump first stated that the ceasefire agreement signed last month was now 'over'; but later he also said that due to the military actions taken by the United States, he believed that the war would not resume.
Trump said, “I call this our achievement in achieving nuclear disarmament for Iran. It’s done. They no longer have military capabilities.”
Their air force is gone... Their ships are gone; 150 ships have sunk to the bottom of the sea. Their radar is gone... Everything is lost.
Trump insisted that war would not break out again, and stated that U.S. airstrikes against Iran would continue “soon”.
Just now someone asked me, ‘Do you think you will strike them tonight?’ I replied, ‘Possibly. Yes, possibly.’
Hours after President Trump made such statements, the US Central Command said it would strike Iran again, "to further weaken its ability to impose freedom of navigation through the Hormuz Strait."
In response to Trump's remarks, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmer Bagey posted a statement on social media, accusing the United States of violating the memorandum of understanding and emphasizing that the US "has undermined the framework of the agreement through unilateral actions and aggressive attacks against Iran."
Unlike previous criticism of NATO member states refusing to assist the United States in military operations against Iraq, Trump's attitude has softened after this last meeting of NATO. He said, "Almost all countries have performed well," and "unity" was the main theme of this summit.
Trump said, “I have never seen such a situation before. Every country likes us; they also like each other. This is a remarkable kind of unity.”
After meeting with Turkish President Erdogan on Tuesday, Trump also said that, just like Turkey, China has earned the respect of the United States. This is because although China is highly dependent on Middle Eastern oil, it has never been involved in the conflicts in Iran.
Trump said, “They (China) have never been involved in this war. They have never said, ‘I will send a ship, and deploy five destroyers on each side of the ship.’ They have never done such thing.”
"To be honest, everyone has performed quite well. Do you know why? Because they have respected our country once again."
During the G7 summit last month, Trump also thanked China and Russia for maintaining "full neutrality" during the war in Iran, saying this "greatly improved the situation."

China has contributed with its approach to resolving conflicts and achieving peace, playing a significant role in further fostering international consensus.
