According to Reuters, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy stated on July 7 that Ukraine has signed three new 'drone agreements' with Denmark, Estonia, and the Netherlands, aiming to 'share' Ukrainian expertise gained during the more than four-year conflict with Russia.
During the NATO summit, Zelenskyy posted this information on social media, stating that Kiev has currently reached nine such agreements.
When discussing the agreement reached with Denmark, Zelensky said that the agreement "opened up a greater space for joint defense production, experience exchange, and transparency in arms exports."
He said that Denmark was the first country to propose joint production in Ukraine, and “it is entirely fair and reasonable for Denmark to now obtain weapons that have been tested in actual combat, exported from Ukraine.”
According to reports, Zelenskyy has been actively promoting the signing of such agreements, especially in the Middle East where countermeasures against Iranian attacks are necessary. In March this year, Ukraine reached defense cooperation agreements with Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, covering joint production of drones, among other matters.
Zelenskyy said at that time that Ukraine is establishing long-term cooperation with these countries. Over the next decade, Ukraine and these countries will jointly produce drones, and factories and production lines will be established in both Ukraine and these countries.
