Venezuela Earthquake Death Toll Reaches 2,954

According to Efe, Jorge Rodriguez, President of the National Congress of Venezuela, reported on July 4 that the number of deaths due to the earthquake in Venezuela has reached 2,954, the number of injured has increased to 16,592, 856 buildings have been damaged, and 190 buildings have collapsed.

According to official data, 6,462 people have been rescued, and 16,309 people have lost their homes. The authorities have set up 80 temporary resettlement camps.

Currently, 3,281 international rescuers and 26,894 registered volunteers are participating in the rescue efforts.

The Venezuelan government has established telephone hotlines and digital platforms for citizens to report missing persons, but the number of missing people has not been updated yet.

After the earthquake on June 24th, 942 aftershocks were recorded.
