Zelenskys Ukraine Targets Russian Refinery and Military Facility With Long-Range Strikes

According to the Ukrainian newspaper 'Kiev Post', on July 1st local time, Ukrainian President Zelenskyy posted a message on the social platform Telegram, stating that Ukrainian forces carried out long-range strikes against a refinery in Russia and a military facility that produces components for missile systems.

Zelenskyy said that the refinery attacked by Ukrainian troops is located in the Russian city of Ufa, more than 1,300 kilometers from the Russo-Ukrainian front. It is one of Russia's largest lubricant production bases. This is already the second time that this facility has been targeted by Ukrainian troops from a distance.

Zelensky also said that Ukrainian forces attacked a military facility located in the Russian Bershej region on that day. The facility is about 600 kilometers from the Russo-Ukrainian frontline and was involved in the development and production of missile weapon components, which were used to attack Ukrainian cities.

Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine is continuously implementing a "long-range sanctions" plan against Russian targets, and said this action is ongoing "every day".

Earlier, several Russian Telegram channels reported that in the early hours of the 1st day, the Berskaya region was attacked by drones. Air defense sirens were activated locally, and residents reported hearing multiple explosions.

According to Bloomberg, Ukraine has increased the range and intensity of missile attacks against Russia. As a result, nearly half of Russia's regions have issued missile warnings this year. Last week alone, at least five regions along the Volga River in southeastern Moscow, Astrakhan in the south, and at least four regions in the northern Caucasus region issued missile threat warnings.
