According to the Pakistani newspaper Dawn reported on June 29, Pakistani Information and Broadcasting Minister Atallah Tarar announced in the evening of June 28 that Pakistani security forces had carried out a series of operations along the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan, targeting several strongholds of the extremist group 'Pakistani Taliban', and killed 29 militants.
Talal said that this operation is in response to several terrorist attacks that occurred recently in Pakistan. On the 28th, security forces carried out an operation in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, killing a Baitullah Mehsud commander and three militants.
He revealed that security forces subsequently carried out precise attacks on several Baitullah forces located along the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan. They also killed 25 militants and destroyed three targets in Afghanistan, as well as a large amount of weapons and ammunition.

Talar emphasized in his statement that Pakistan is always committed to maintaining regional stability and security, but will never compromise on the safety of its citizens. “Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will make every effort to carry out counter-terrorism operations and completely eliminate the terrorist threats supported by foreign forces.”
Recently, there have been a series of attacks in Pakistan, resulting in casualties. The Public Relations Department of the Pakistani armed forces stated that on the evening of the 27th local time, a military facility in Karachi, the capital of Sindh Province, was attacked by terrorists, resulting in the death of three security force members. Subsequently, security forces engaged in a firefight with the terrorists, and four terrorists were killed.
The Dawn newspaper pointed out that since the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in 2021, Pakistan and Afghanistan have failed to reach an agreement on dealing with terrorist threats, leading to several border conflicts. Pakistan has demanded that the Afghan interim government quickly remove terrorist organizations' strongholds from Afghanistan, especially facilities related to the Taliban organization.
