In their statement, Netanyahu and Katz said that before destroying the tunnel, Israel had informed the United States and its representatives in Lebanon about the situation.

The statement indicates that the Israeli military will continue to station troops in the southern Lebanese "security zone," "continue to destroy the terrorists' infrastructure," eliminate threats, and protect the safety of Israeli citizens.

According to reports, the Israel Defense Forces has not yet issued a statement regarding this operation, but they have warned residents in northern Israel that they may hear loud explosions.

Prior to this attack, the military indicated that they had attacked Hizbullah armed personnel carrying rocket-propelled grenades in Nabatiya, southern Lebanon. They struck a rocket launch platform.

Earlier on June 29th local time, Hezbollah stated that Israel’s attack was a blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement.

Hezbollah stated that it is closely monitoring such activities and reserves the right to 'defend the country and its people'.

On the 27th, Netanyahu claimed that he had met with Katz and senior Israeli military officials to ensure that the right to fire from the front line was emphasized as a priority.
