Recently, Guinean Prime Minister Amadu Uli Barr, who came to China to attend the 2026 Summer Davos Forum, was interviewed by the "High-End Interview" section of the Central Television.

In April this year, you had someone bring back a bag of hybrid rice produced in Koebo to China, and gave it to Ms. Deng Zhe, the widow of Academician Yuan Longping. You also wrote a line of words on that bag of rice.
In April this year, when I attended the agricultural production launch ceremony in Kobe, I had the opportunity to visit a agricultural product processing enterprise. There, I saw the harvested rice and also bagged rice that had been processed and stored. What impressed me the most was the technology they used. It’s a technology that even ordinary people can master and apply, not some complicated or advanced technology.
I communicated with the Chinese technicians on site, trying to learn more about the situation. They introduced to me that this hybrid rice was developed by a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Yuan Longping. He hoped to benefit countries that most need this technology through sharing his research findings. Because this rice has high yields, it can ensure that everyone has enough food and eliminate hunger.
It was during that meeting that they gave me a bag of rice. Later, they even came to the Premier's residence. I wrote a letter to the wife of Academician Yuan Longping, hoping that she would know that the valuable legacy left by her husband is benefiting the world.
