Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) reporters asked: During the Supply Chain Expo, multiple Japanese economic organizations visited China for a tour. How does the Chinese side evaluate the current situation of people-to-people exchanges between China and Japan? Does the Chinese side have any expectations for future people-to-people exchanges between China and Japan? Furthermore, during their visit to China, the Japan International Trade Promotion Association met with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and had a meeting with Vice Minister Hua Chunying. Regarding the first question, Guo Jiaqun introduced that the 4th China International Supply Chain Promotion Expo opened on June 22. Companies and organizations from all over the world actively participated in the exhibition. It is understood that many companies and economic groups from Japan signed up to participate, which reflects the urgent need of the Japanese economic community to improve Sino-Japanese relations and carry out cooperation with China.

Guo Jiaqun emphasized that we hope Japanese policymakers will listen to and take these voices into consideration, address the root causes of the problems, reflect on and correct them, and demonstrate sincerity in improving relations with China through practical actions, thereby creating necessary conditions for normal Sino-Japanese exchanges.

Regarding the second question, Guo Jiaqian stated that on June 22, Vice Minister Hua Chunying met with Masataka Hashimoto, the representative of the Japan National Trade Promotion Agency who came to attend the Chain Expo. China expressed its condolences over the passing of Masataka Hashimoto and elaborated on its consistent stance regarding Sino-Japanese relations and the wrong statements made by Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe regarding Taiwan. China hopes that the Japanese economic community will make positive efforts to promote the establishment of a correct historical view by Japan and to improve Sino-Japanese relations.
