According to He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, at a regular press conference held on the 25th, it was agreed that both sides would establish a Trade Council based on the consensus reached in the Sino-US economic and trade consultations. Discussions regarding reciprocal tariff reduction and other cooperation matters will take place under the council. The economic and trade teams of both sides will conduct further negotiations on this issue.
He Yadong said that the trade cooperation between China and the United States in the fields of aircraft and agricultural products is mutually beneficial and win-win. Both sides’ teams will continue to maintain communication, encourage and guide their respective enterprises to strengthen cooperation and expand trade cooperation in related fields.
