Venezuela Earthquake Death Toll Reaches 164

According to Reuters, Venezuelan Deputy President Rodriguez stated on the 25th local time that the number of deaths in Venezuela due to the strong earthquake has reached 164. She also said that a $200 million initial fund will be established using resources from the International Monetary Fund.

Rodriguez previously reported that the strong earthquake caused at least 32 deaths and 700 injuries.

On the evening of the 24th, two strong earthquakes of magnitude 7 or above occurred in Venezuela.

According to an assessment model by the US Geological Survey, the number of deaths is likely to reach several thousand, and there is a high possibility that it will exceed 10,000.
