According to the Ministry of Commerce website, on June 25th, the Ministry of Commerce held a regular press conference.
Cover News Reporter: Recently, China announced that it will list 10 American entities on the export control list and decided to take relevant measures against 46 American companies in government procurement activities. What are China's considerations? Will the US decision to add so-called "Chinese military enterprises" to the list affect the results of the Sino-US summit in Beijing?
Spokesperson He Yadong: In order to safeguard national security and interests, and to fulfill international obligations such as counter-proliferation, in response to the United States government's harmful actions of adding so-called "Chinese military enterprises" to its list, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce issued a notice on June 22. According to law, ten American entities, including AvioX Corporation, were included in the export control list, and their dual-use items are prohibited from being exported. On the same day, the Ministry of Finance issued a notice stipulating that during government procurement activities, products manufactured by 46 American companies shall not be purchased.
The US government's addition of the so-called "Chinese military enterprises" list seriously damages the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises. As a result, China has no choice but to take countermeasures against these US companies, which are all military-related enterprises. We urge the US side to immediately stop this wrongful practice and work together with China to strive to maintain and develop a constructive strategic stability relationship between China and the US.
