Vice President Wilson: Unconcerned About Trump's Scapegoat Plan

According to the US newspaper The Hill, at a White House press briefing on the 18th, when asked if he was worried that Trump would use him as a scapegoat if negotiations failed, U.S. Vice President Wilson said, 'No, I'm not worried at all.'

He said: "I think the president is just joking around as usual."

Previously, on June 17 local time, at a press conference, a journalist asked U.S. President Trump: Why not stay to attend the signing ceremony of the US-Iran Understanding?

Trump said that he might stay in Europe to participate. But he also stated, “This is not a document that must be signed by me.”

The reporter continued, "If you send the US Vice President (Vance) there, and if it succeeds, that would be great. You seem to be a genius. If it fails, it's the vice president's problem."

Trump replied, "I like this idea. If it works out, I’ll take the credit; if it fails, I’ll blame Vance."
