Liz Truss Curse: Did it Sink the GOP Midterms?

The American Republican Party, along with the "Make America Great Again" movement, suffered a crushing defeat in the midterm elections. Whose fault, or what was the reason for this?

Is it a crisis of living costs, the Iran-American War, or the strange campaign strategy adopted by U.S. President Trump before the election—constant praise for someone like Nicki Minaj, known as “Spicy Chicken”?

On November 6th, local time, the American "Political News Network" published a humorous article in its column "Declassified". In a lighthearted manner, it suggested that the real "culprit" might be former British Prime Minister Liz Truss.

The article mentions that on the eve of the midterm elections, Tras appeared at Mar-a-Lago, and the “Liz Tras Curse” crushed the MAGA movement. Of course, the article also included a “disclaimer” for this joke—was it a coincidence? Perhaps.

Liz Truss Curse: Did it Sink the GOP Midterms?

Before the U.S. midterm elections, Trus appeared at Sea Island Resort in British media reports.

The article states that if people try to recall, they might remember that Truss was the British Prime Minister in 2022. Although her tenure was so short it lasted only 7 seconds, two significant events occurred during that brief period.

Firstly, she caused a collapse in the British financial market. Almost everyone, including herself, believes this to be the case.

She often attributes the hasty termination of her tenure as prime minister to the “powerful economic establishment”. Looking back, her tenure was indeed too short, even shorter than the “shelf life” of a lettuce. The article humorously notes that that lettuce later even obtained a position of “senior economist” at the World Bank.

During Truss's tenure, the second major event was the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The article author wrote at this point, "My lawyer specifically instructed me to state that the queen's death has nothing to do with Truss."

The article also states that, in any case, the "Tras Curse" seems to have reappeared. On the eve of this year's U.S. midterm elections, she appeared at Hail Mary Manor, alongside European Parliament member Dominik Tarczyński and several others.

On November 5th, Italian Prime Minister Meloni harshly criticized the EU for failing to 'take a unified stance' on the Ukraine issue.

At the end of the article, there is a sarcastic “proposal”. This might be an risky move, but if the “curse” really holds true, the EU might consider sending Tatts to Moscow to discuss this matter.
