Trump Defends Iran War Despite GOP Loss

On November 4th, local time, U.S. President Donald Trump said that although he acknowledged that the war in Iran was one of the reasons for the Republican Party's defeat in the mid-term elections and loss of control over Congress, he still believed that this war was worthwhile.

Trump told reporters: "The issue of Iran is something we must take action on, and we continue to take action."

The Iranian war has led to a significant increase in gasoline prices, and the rise in gasoline prices is considered an important factor that helped the Democrats make significant progress in this election.

Trump said, "I can tell you that, in terms of this war, if I had to make a decision again, I would not take any different approach."

Trump said that this war is worth fighting in order to prevent Iran from "having nuclear weapons".

Earlier that day, US Vice President Wilson posted a message on social media, discussing the significant electoral defeat suffered by the Republican Party, and stated, "The reason we lost the election is because of this war." Trump said he agreed with Wilson's statement.

According to CCTV reports, Trump said that he did not say that the war in Iran would end immediately after the U.S. mid-term elections. Trump stated that the end of the war in Iran must be correct.

On October 14th local time, Trump also made a similar statement. He said, "The war with Iran will soon come to an end. It will end very soon. As long as I want it to end, it will end."
