According to sources familiar with the negotiations, the German side is also consulting with Ukraine regarding joint production and procurement of the “Bars” cruise missile. The manufacturer of this missile has not yet disclosed its identity.
Sources familiar with the matter added that other companies with the opportunity to win orders for German long-range strike weapons include the Dutch company Destinus SA, whose product is the “Ruta” cruise missile, and Hypersonica, a German-English joint venture defense startup that is developing the HS1 missile.
