On October 17th, the Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Moscow University issued a statement indicating that the university has clearly stated that this behavior seriously violates the school’s educational philosophy and disrupts the teaching order on campus. The university has officially initiated an internal investigation process and will announce the results in the near future.

The Students' Federation immediately reported the events, complete evidence, and the progress of communication to the education department of the Chinese Embassy in Russia. It will also cooperate with relevant work in a timely manner based on the subsequent situation. At the same time, it calls on international students on campus to express their patriotism rationally, protect their own safety, and avoid causing physical conflicts or other violent actions.

On the evening of October 18th, Jun Zhengping posted an article regarding this matter.

Recently, a serious incident occurred in the history class at Moscow State University: a Chinese student openly wore the Sun Flag in public. The news is shocking and also infuriating.

The Sun Flag is a symbol of Japan's militaristic aggression history. It was under this flag that Japanese militarists launched the War of Aggression against China and the Pacific War, bringing great suffering to the people of many Asian countries, including China.

No matter which country or campus one is in, advocating militarism is a blatant infringement on human conscience and is deserving of disdain.

It is gratifying that at the time of the incident, other Chinese students present immediately stepped forward and stopped this inappropriate behavior on the spot. This shows that the majority of overseas students have a clear stance and can distinguish right from wrong.

As written in the newsletter of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association of Moscow University: "History has its limits, and we must not violate them; our country's mountains and rivers should remain intact, and we must strive for self-improvement." May every student who goes abroad remember this statement and take on the responsibility of defending justice and history for this generation of Chinese youth.
