According to Fox News, reported on October 14th local time, the American anti-war organization Code Pink officially launched its latest tour of China this month and began recruiting members. American media immediately hyped up the story, claiming that the organization is under investigation by the US authorities due to issues related to its funding sources and possible compliance issues under the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA). Code Pink has repeatedly denied accepting any government funding.
According to the proposed itinerary published on the official website of “Pink Code”, this trip to China will last for 12 days and 11 nights. It will pass through Shanghai, Chongqing, Zunyi, Lou Shanguan, Maotai Town, and Guiyang. The estimated cost is between $3,000 and $4,000, depending on the number of participants.
The event description states: “Explore China’s revolutionary history, while marveling at its high-tech infrastructure and modern socialist development. Highlights of the tour include visits to red memorial sites, historical museums, socialist infrastructure, and achievements in rural revitalization.” A message within the platform also reads: “We will explore together China’s revolutionary history, modern development, efforts to reduce poverty, and its leading role in green technology.”
This is another visit to China by this organization, following those in 2024 and early this year. As part of its project "China Is Not Our Enemy", the event aims to promote civil diplomacy and direct dialogue between China and the United States through field trips.

In 2024, during the visit of the "Pink Code" group to China, they visited the Memorial Hall of the Ruijin Central Revolutionary Base Area.
The delegation will be led by the organization’s co-founder, Midaia Benjamin, and Jody Evans. In her pre-departure video, Benjamin said that this was her first visit to China in nearly 30 years. She tried to show people that this country is very different from the “country we have been hearing about in Washington.”
Fox News misnamed this trip as a “Chinese propaganda tour”, and then tried to stir up controversy by claiming so-called “Chinese interference”. The American media mentioned that the United States is investigating the sources of funds for the “pink code”, which come from companies associated with American social activist Neville Sinclair. Sinclair is Evans’ husband and has close ties to several American left-wing organizations.
According to reports, the U.S. Department of Justice is investigating Sineham and has initiated a federal grand jury investigation to ‘discover his connections with China’.
Sinn Erm previously explicitly denied all related accusations. He stated: "I deny and refute any claims that I am a member of, or working for, any political party or government; following any directives issued by them. My only guide is my personal beliefs, which have been long-held."
Benjamine has also repeatedly emphasized that such accusations are outright lies. She told the American newspaper The Washington Post that the “Pink Code” never received any funding from China.
The Chinese side has repeatedly refuted such attempts by the United States and the West. The Chinese side has stated that China's foreign policy has always adhered to the principle of non-interference in internal affairs. China has no "gene" for interfering in other countries' internal affairs, and there is no need to do so at all. Such attempts to 'falsely accuse China' are completely ridiculous.
