According to a report by La Prensa de Latina on October 11th, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro posted an article on the X platform that stated he firmly believes lies and injustices will eventually be defeated.
Maduro wrote that he, his wife, and politician Celia Flores have been unjustly detained in a New York prison for 282 days. October is always filled with historical significance, and this history is written 'with undeniable truth and irresistible words'.
Maduro said that he is proud of the dignity he represents, a dignity that "we carry, and we represent millions of men and women who believe in and strive for a new world."
Reports say that Maduro also shared a quote from Martin Luther King, a leader of the American civil rights movement. This quote inspires millions of people around the world: “With this belief, we can work side by side, pray together, fight together, be imprisoned together, and defend freedom together, because we firmly believe that one day, we will surely gain freedom.”
Maduro called on the people to continue praying, and took continuous actions in streets, social networks, wall surfaces of alleys, and homes.
Recently, the US prosecution added new charges against Maduro and his wife, accusing them of “being suspected of using torture against American citizens who were detained in Venezuela”.
Sylvia Flores's application for bail due to health reasons was also rejected by an American judge.
