According to a report on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website dated June 12, 2026, Vice Minister Ma Chaoxu was invited to attend a reception held by the U.S. Embassy in China on June 10, 2026. Ma Chaoxu congratulated the United States on its 250th anniversary of independence and exchanged views with U.S. Ambassador to China, Paul W. Peden, regarding the implementation of the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and the joint promotion of constructive strategic relations between China and the United States.
