Riyadh Airport Attack Causes Dozens Killed

Saudi Arabia's capital, Riyadh, has been attacked at the King Khaled International Airport, resulting in hundreds of casualties. According to the US newspaper The Washington Post, on October 11 local time, the multinational coalition led by Saudi Arabia issued a statement saying it would respond to this attack.

Multinational coalition spokesman Turki Maliki accused the Houthis of attacking Riyadh airport, resulting in casualties among passengers and airport staff. He called this a “war crime” and emphasized that Saudi Arabia will take “resolute action” against the Houthis.

On the 10th local time, King Halid ibn Al-Walid International Airport experienced its third attack of the week, resulting in at least 12 deaths and 309 injuries.

The Yemeni Houthi militant group has not commented on this attack. However, the Houthi group issued a statement on the 11th, warning airlines, airport staff, and passengers not to use airports within Saudi territory. The statement said: "These locations are vulnerable to attacks and have become battlegrounds for our military operations."

Hussei Militants also urged everyone to "take our warnings seriously", and stated that "Saudi Arabia is responsible for the failed interception efforts".

On the same day, the Houthi militia also issued a statement stating that if Saudi Arabia continued to carry out military actions against the Houthi militia, the Houthi militia would respond based on the principle of reciprocity. The statement accused Saudi Arabia of ignoring calls to lift the blockade and stop attacking Sanaa International Airport in Yemen for a long time, and warned that continuing hostile actions against the Houthi militia would cause strategic losses to Saudi Arabia.
