On October 11 local time, U.S. President Trump posted on ‘Real Social Media’ stating that both Russia and Ukraine have agreed to a ‘energy ceasefire’.
"From now on, the war between Russia and Ukraine has entered a 'energy ceasefire' situation. Both parties have reached an agreement. Please do not violate this agreement!" wrote Trump.
Trump has not disclosed the specific details of the agreement. As of now, neither Russia nor Ukraine have confirmed this statement publicly.
Trump harshly criticized Ukrainian President Zelenskyy on the 10th, stating that continuing to approve attacks on Russian refineries is "trying to cause trouble for the whole world." He said, "It would be better if he stopped doing this."
Earlier on the 11th, Zelenskyy said on the social platform Telegram that if Moscow stopped attacking Ukrainian energy infrastructure, Ukraine would be willing to stop attacking Russian refineries.
Zelenskyy emphasized that any measures to ease the conflict must be mutual and effectively implemented.
