According to the Ukrainian newspaper 'Kiev Post', on October 10 local time, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that the Ukrainian army once again attacked the Sarmala Oil Distribution Station in Sarmala Oblast, Russia.
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces stated that the Samara Oil Depot is a major hub for Russia to receive, store, and mix crude oil. It receives crude oil from the Russian Republic of Tatarstan, West Siberia, and other neighboring oil-producing areas, supplying refined oil and fuel products to the Russian military.
The statement says that the Ukrainian army launched a second attack on the facility in the early hours of the 10th local time, and the extent of the damage is still being determined.
On October 7th, the Ukrainian army launched an attack on the Samaia oil dispatching station. The Ukrainian military stated that the previous attack destroyed four storage tanks and caused a large-scale fire. Ukrainian officials said that such attacks are aimed at weakening Russia's military economic capabilities.
As of now, Russia has not commented on these matters.
