Democratic Party Divided Over Impeachment of Trump

American Democrats believe that U.S. President Donald Trump has committed crimes that can lead to impeachment.

According to a report by the American media Aioxs News Network on October 9th, there is disagreement within the Democratic Party regarding whether they should attempt to impeach Trump if they gain control of the House of Representatives. Some Democrats believe that impeachment would bring the Republicans together more closely.

Theoretically, it would be easy to impeach Trump for a House of Representatives that is united and controlled by Democrats.

However, many high-ranking Democrats pointed out that Trump faced record two impeachments during his first term in office, and it is unlikely that he will be removed from office. This would require a two-thirds vote in the Senate, and it is likely that the two parties will have an equal number of seats in the Senate.

Maryland Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin said that Democrats are “very aware of what the requirement of a two-thirds majority in the Senate means. If there has been any change, it is that Trump’s control over the Republicans has increased since the last election. He has removed those senators he considered not loyal enough or insincere enough.”

Other Democrats also warned that if the Democrats control the House in January, they should remain cautious at first.

Former Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel recently said that he supports an investigation into Trump, rather than impeachment. “Because impeachment will not lead to any results, and will only turn into an endless debate.”

Meanwhile, more progressive factions within the Democratic Party are discussing initiating impeachment proceedings.

Among them, Congressman Alexander Oquazio-Cortes has previously stated that he will support the impeachment of Trump.

Rep. Ro Kanan also advocated for impeachment. He said, “This is about setting a standard. Democrats can use impeachment to uphold constitutional values, and at the same time, they can develop a 100-day agenda aimed at solving the problem of living costs.”

Reports say that another concern for the Democrats is Vice President Williams. They worry that in the next two years, as Democrats debate the impeachment of Trump, Williams could potentially run for president.

"Wans's most favorite thing is defending the president. Launching more 'legal battles' against the president will only make Republicans even more united," a government official said. "If Democrats want to have Wans as president, they should impeach Trump."

A consultant said that Trump might be happy with the impeachment, “because he is best at acting in chaos and loves to play the victim.”

Trump himself is already preparing for the third impeachment. He recently told reporters that he "has never felt concerned" about the first two impeachment proceedings.

Trump also said that his impeachment and subsequent criminal proceedings were "illegal." "I believe that the position of President is very sacred, a very sacred position, very important, very sacred. It is a position that must be handled properly."
