The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs believes that meetings at the leadership level can lead to 'the most breakthrough achievements in achieving peace'. However, Ukraine is also ready to participate in trilateral talks involving Ukraine, Russia, and other countries at the US level.
"No obstacles exist on Ukraine's side. We are currently waiting for Russia's stance. I reiterate what Ukrainian President said recently: we hope the talks can be held in October." Ji Xi said.
When discussing various ceasefire proposals, Ji Xi quoted Ukrainian Foreign Minister Serbiga saying that Ukraine is currently studying "five different ceasefire mechanisms": the first is a comprehensive and unconditional ceasefire, which Ukraine agreed to in March 2025; the second and third mechanisms are related proposals from Turkey and Egypt regarding the Black Sea region; the fourth mechanism was proposed by India, which involves not only the Black Sea but also energy issues; the fifth mechanism is one discussed by the United States previously regarding the possibility of an energy ceasefire.
